Indonesia day 6

Today we went by train from Jogja to Malang. We had a problem because our guide in Jogja had the tickets, but he didn’t show up. The driver couldn’t contact him and communication with the driver was really hard because he didn’t speak a word English. Lucky us we were half an hours before the train left the train station and the woman in the customer service helped us to get our tickets. The tickets were in our name so it was easy to check for them that this were our tickets.

After 8 hours we came in Malang, that was around 4 o’clock and we still needed to lunch. So we were very hungry, we saw our new guide and we brought us to a restaurant to eat. After lunch we went to the hotel, I dived into the swimming pool to swim. After that we took a shower and went to the city centre. We wanted to eat something small but all the restaurants were already closed. From the train we saw this colourful houses and tomorrow we will visit them.┬áSo we went to a place where we saw more people. There were beautiful trees, a fontain with lights, a playground for the little ones and much more. There were also two cars with many lights on them and there came music out of this cars.

We went back to the hotel to eat there some fruit and drink something. We didn’t expect that Malang was like this, we had read that is was not a nice city and that people only came here because it is close to the Bromo Mountains and this is the final stop of the train. In Jogja there were people 24/7 on the street, the stores were open 24/7 and there is nobody. Stores and restaurants are closed at 9, I hope tomorrow will be a nicer day.
